Herb Roasted Lamb with Kefir Herb Sauce
Lamb is one of those dishes that feels like it should be complicated. But it really doesn’t need to be.
I keep it simple. Garlic, herbs, lemon. Lamb isn’t typically on our weekly menu rotation, so when we do have it, I want the meat itself to shine through. I take away the noise and keep the flavours natural and simple. And then finish it with something with a little kick that brings it all together.
For me, that’s this kefir yogurt sauce. Light, tangy, full of fresh herbs. It cuts through the richness of the lamb in the best way without weighing it down.
This is the kind of meal I come back to when I want something that feels a little special, but still grounded and unfussy, especially when I’m hosting and want something that feels special but not overworked. It’s rich, but not heavy. Familiar, but still elevated.
It’s simple, but it holds its own. And sometimes, that’s all a good meal needs to do.
